VOTE

VOTE is an “informational” piece urging Americans to vote in the 2018 Midterm elections.  After Trump was elected in 2016, Max wanted to kindly encourage voters for a bigger turnout.  This painting is a departure from many of Max’s pieces as this one is very “simple” and “blunt” in style.  Instead of saying, “support this candidate, not this,” he wanted the message to simply be “go out and support your candidate.”  To make his message clear, he only includes the one word centered, in red, with the “V” looking like a checkbox to resemble “checking the ballot box.”  At the end of the day, this painting seemed to help!
