I have been passionate about making art ever since my childhood. I also happen to be autistic. I grew up in Los Angeles and live in Northeast Portland. My line of art since 2016 is titled, “SURREBRAL” which focuses on portraits, space art, landscapes, and ‘60’s inspired folk art. You may view my art here! In 2022, I joined an artist collective, North Pole Studio, and commission studio. I primarily work with COPIC markers, POSCA markers, neon paints, neon pens and markers, gouache, acrylic paint, colored pencils, watercolor pencils, ink, and graphite pencils.
I create many self-portraits depicting my feelings about my life growing up with autism and current events in the world. I also do many portraits of people I admire- including, but not limited to musicians, celebrities, and political figures.
I’m passionate about art, theme parks, music, film, pop culture, and current events. I also run a theme park YouTube channel, Maxic Kingdom!
Artist Statement
I have been creating art since childhood. My characteristic style is present across diverse subject matter, including portraits, visions of outer space, landscapes, and 1960’s inspired folk art. I primarily work with COPIC markers, POSCA markers, colored pencils, ink, and graphite pencil. I process my life experiences as an autistic person and the social justice issues impacting my life and the world around me through my portraiture and landscape art. I sell prints and original art at street art events around Portland, I create commissioned work, I participate in paid art projects, and I sell my art on shirts, phone cases, and more merchandise on my online RedBubble store. My passions are evident in my diverse collection of work, which explores subjects related to politics, current events, architecture, city parks, hiking spots, art, theme parks, music, film, and pop culture.
