“Social Anxiety” is a self-portrait representing Max’s feeling anxious while he is out and about at a large social event. While Max likes going to these events, he can sometimes find himself feeling uncomfortable after a while. This was inspired by a concert in Downtown LA, where Max found himself anxious and only stayed an hour. It was a good event and Max was covered in paint that was splattered all over the crowd. However, Max found himself feeling uncomfortable with large crowds of people surrounding and trying to engage with him.
