Laura and Mark

When his friend and colleague, Laura, asked Max to do a portrait of her and her husband, Mark, at their wedding, Max honored the request.  Hence, the piece, “Mark and Laura” was created.  Tailoring to the friend’s interest in pop art, Max did a portrait of her and Mark referencing Andy Warhol.   Max liked the idea of an “abstract” look with the painting blending into the background.  He combined gouache and watercolor to make this work.  Everyone loved the end result!
