Keith Haring

This portrait of artist Keith Haring was created with rainbow colored pencils.  This was created in honor of the late artist, who created iconic art to raise awareness about AIDS.  Most of his art could be seen in New York City.  His cartoon-inspired art really created awareness towards health and safety regarding the AIDS crisis of the 1980’s.  Unfortunately, Haring was diagnosed with AIDS and died at the age of 31 in 1990.  We wouldn’t have been as safe without Haring’s art as well as the work of Dr Fauci and fellow AIDs activists.
