Max used one of his Instagram photos as a reference for “Campaigning in the Wild Desert.” The photo he referenced was of himself campaigning for California Democratic House Candidate Katie Hill. For this drawing, he replaced the text on the “Katie Hill for Congress” sticker with “Trump For Jail.” He wanted to put a “planetary” background. Therefore, he referenced the Vasquez Rocks in Agua Dulce, CA, as the setting of the “Wild Desert” in the background. The Vasquez Rocks were also used for a notable episode of Star Trek in the late ’60’s. Out of imagination, Max also added a planet to the left and a UFO to the right.
