Pirates of the Caribbean (Disneyland)

For a long time, I had wanted to create a piece inspired by one of my favorite Disneyland rides, Pirates of the Caribbean.  I finally got around to it.  I was originally thinking of the burning town scene and/or the dunking scene on the ride.  But then, especially after doing the Channel Islands piece, I thought about how much I really liked working with water and wanted a more flooded scene from the ride.  In all honesty, my favorite scene on the ride is truly the ship battle scene with an animatronic Barbossa on board saying, “strike yer colors yer bloomin’ cockroaches.”  And the scale of that scene is so impressive.  So I went with the galleon scene instead.
