The Japanese Gardens in Portland, Oregon is part of Portland’s famed Washington Park. It first opened in 1967. It currently costs $21.95 for admission, but is honestly very worth it, given how beautiful the garden is. It is a quiet, calm, peaceful place and is quite large. It is hilly and filled with creeks, Japanese buildings, trees, flowers, koi ponds, and bridges. While I was creating this piece, I feared that it would not come out well. However, as the piece progressed, it looked even better and turned out more beautifully…and was sold!
