Blowing Planets

“Blowing Planets” is inspired by a psychedelic collage Max liked.  In this painting, a hippie girl blows bubbles as planets while in space.  Max usually creates stars with flicking white watercolor from a brush, but ran out of white watercolor.  Instead, the stars were created with white pastel.  In the painting, the giant hippie girl is blowing Jupiter as a bubble.   Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, the Earth, Mars, and the Death Star are all bubbles being blown away.  The planets were done in colored pencil.  The giant hippie girl was done with a combination of graphite for the skin and colored pencils for the colors.
