The first Surrebral piece of October comes in the form of “Penciled Out.” “Penciled Out” is a pencil drawing of Max drawing on a piece of paper. Meanwhile, Max’s head and hands are visible while shapes, creatures, and US Presidents make up both the body and background. Max liked reading about the US Presidents as a child, so a renewed interest came from that. 4 US Presidents in the drawing came from an idea Max had to draw several US Presidents in pencil. The Presidents featured are James K Polk, Theodore Roosevelt, John F Kennedy, and Bill Clinton. A lion, a crying strawberry-headed frog, a ghost, and a magic lamp also make an appearance. In the drawing, Max is drawing a live face popping out of paper.
