“Love for Lana” is Max’s tribute to folk singer, Lana del Rey. The piece’s name is a parody of her album”Lust for Life,” which includes her song, “Love.” Max was inspired by the video when it came out. He especially likes the folk singer’s vintage style of all her music videos. The video for “Love,” however, also has very dreamy visuals- including people swimming in the lake on another planet and a corvette flying in space. The space theme and visuals of the music video for “Love,” inspired Max to create this portrait of the artist in front of a space background. The deep black starry space background was partly inspired by Shaded in Space.
