Buzzed

“Buzzed” is a self-portrait representing Max when he gets his caffeine “buzz” in the mornings.  Max loved going to Starbucks for Venti Iced Coffees since he was 15.  In the painting, Max expresses how happy he is to drink his first coffee in the mornings, illustrated with vibrant colors and a rising, colorful sun.  The colors make this a “sequel” to The Calm State.  In the photo, Max is pictured sipping on his daily morning Iced Coffee.  In the photo, Max is drinking an iced coffee, while his hair turns into clouds where a psychedelic sun rises from behind.  The sun has multi-colored rays that hit the edges of the self-portrait.
